Product Description
The continuous advancement of chemical and metallurgical processes, along with the growth of satellite communications and the electronics industry, has led to the widespread use of pure oxygen and other highly reactive chemicals. Finding lubricants that are fully compatible with oxygen and such reactive substances is extremely challenging, necessitating the development of new technical solutions. For many years, producers and users of oxygen in the chemical and metallurgical industries have relied on Fomblin® PFPE fluids, achieving excellent technical and economic performance while significantly improving safety conditions. These advantages are now expanding into a broader range of applications, where the lubricant’s safety, compatibility, and stability allow researchers to focus on other critical aspects.
Fomblin® LC grade is a specialized fluid developed for oxygen handling, as well as for the lubrication of oxygen pumps and compressors. Currently, one standard grade of Fomblin® LC is available. However, the flexibility of Solvay's specialty polymer manufacturing processes allows for customized formulations to meet specific requirements.
