Fomblin Y-LOX 120, developed by Syensqo (formerly Solvay), is a premium perfluoropolyether (PFPE) lubricant engineered for liquid compressors and vacuum applications. It features ultra-low vapor pressure (≈2×10⁻⁴ torr at 20 °C; ≈5×10⁻² torr at 100 °C), a high viscosity index (~120), and exceptional thermal stability across a wide temperature range (down to –46 °C). Its inertness to acids, alkalis, chlorine, biofuels, alcohols, and mineral oils, coupled with non-flammability, transparency, oxidative and radiation resistance, and dielectric properties, make it an ideal base oil for harsh and safety-critical environments.
Fomblin® Y-LOX 120 perfluoropolyether fluids have the following unique features:
