For over 25 years, Fomblin® PFPE lubricants have been a vital component in space programs by NASA and the European Space Agency. They are the ideal lubrication solution for the automotive industry, delivering optimal performance in demanding applications. Fomblin® PFPE can be used as a pure oil, formulated into grease, or applied to parts using suitable carriers.
In the oil and gas industry, there is increasing demand for hydraulic fluids capable of withstanding temperatures up to 260°C (500°F) and pressures up to 30,000 psi. Traditional hydraulic fluids begin to degrade at 220°C (428°F), whereas Fomblin® PFPE oils remain stable at temperatures up to 290°C (554°F).

Fomblin® PFPE lubricants are clear, colorless, and odorless oils that remain liquid across an extremely wide temperature range from –100°C (–148°F) to 290°C (554°F). They are thermally stable, chemically inert, and compatible with metals, hydrogenated polymers, oxygen, and corrosive gases—even at extremely high temperatures. These oils are non-flammable and non-toxic. They feature low vapor pressure, good dielectric properties, low refractive index, and low surface tension.
